Charlie is a principal of H&S Tax and Wealth Advisors, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor, and H&S Tax Associates, LLC, its affiliated accounting firm. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor with more than 30 years of experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on tax, financial, and planning-related matters.
After graduating from Stockton University in 1992, Charlie began his career in public accounting. From 2000 through 2010, he held private-client positions with JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America, serving primarily as a Vice President within their Private Client Groups. During that period, he provided financial counseling to more than 300 families with combined assets exceeding $600 million.
In 2010, Charlie returned to public accounting and later joined an integrated Registered Investment Advisor and CPA firm, where he worked with high-net-worth individuals, families, and business clients in a fiduciary capacity as a Tax Advisor.
Drawing on experience in public accounting, private-client banking, and financial advisory services, Charlie believes that tax, financial, retirement, estate, and business-planning considerations are most effectively addressed in a coordinated manner. In 2016, Charlie and Gregg Shaw founded H&S to provide clients with an integrated approach to tax and wealth planning. Charlie works alongside Gregg to help clients evaluate the tax and financial implications of important decisions in light of their individual circumstances and goals.
Charlie serves as a Board Member of Parker Family Health Center in Red Bank, New Jersey, where he is also Treasurer and a member of the Executive and Finance Committees. Parker Family Health Center is a nonprofit organization that provides free health care to eligible uninsured residents of Monmouth County.
